19th IEEE UAE Student Day
This competition is designed for senior undergraduate engineering students to showcase their graduation projects through a poster and/or demo. Projects are categorized into Communications and Electronics, Computing and Robotics, and Power and Renewable Energy. Each team presents their project within a 15-minute demonstration, evaluated based on creativity, technical content, results, ethical considerations, and presentation quality. The competition emphasizes originality, problem-solving, and professionalism
19th IEEE UAE Student Day
Students design and build a manually operated catapult to launch weighted balls at targets placed at different distances. The competition tests precision, innovation, and efficiency, with rounds challenging teams to hit scoring zones. The catapult must be fully mechanical, without electronic components, and teams are encouraged to use 3D printing for innovative designs
19th IEEE UAE Student Day
Teams must design and implement an autonomous logistics robot capable of detecting, picking up, and delivering colored objects to designated drop-off zones within a 5x5 matrix. The robot must follow black lines, use a camera for object detection, and operate autonomously. Scoring is based on correct drop-offs, minimal manual adjustments, and completion time
19th IEEE UAE Student Day
This competition highlights the role of engineering students in community service. Teams of up to four IEEE student members develop impactful projects that serve a specific community. They are evaluated on service significance, planning, organization, and overall contribution, with an emphasis on social impact rather than technical or hardware/software development
19th IEEE UAE Student Day
This project focuses on developing a mobile application to assist visually impaired individuals using AI-based object recognition, scene description, text reading, and hazard detection. The app provides real-time audio feedback and supports voice commands. Evaluation criteria include functionality, interface design, and additional innovative features
