The Global Best M-Gov Award 2026
The Global Best M-Gov Award 2026 celebrates the creativity and civic engagement of university students worldwide. It recognizes ideas, prototypes, and semi- or fully developed mobile applications that leverage technology to solve local and global challenges and deliver tangible benefits—with the potential to scale across borders. Three winners will be honored, with prizes of $50,000 (1st), $25,000 (2nd), and $10,000 (3rd). Winners will be announced on the main stage of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, 3–5 February 2026. Submissions close on 20 January 2026 at 20:00 GMT.

SRC 2026 – Student Research Conference on Applied Computing
The College of Technological Innovation invites undergraduate and graduate students to submit their research for the 17th Student Research Conference on Applied Computing (SRC 2026). Under the theme Human–AI Collaboration Toward a Sustainable Future, SRC 2026 fosters collaboration and showcases innovative work in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies that support a sustainable, inclusive, knowledge-driven future. Students can submit a one-page abstract or a full paper to participate in a poster exhibition, live demonstration, or oral presentation, with submissions reviewed by faculty and followed by valuable feedback—plus workshops and networking with researchers and industry leaders.

WFEO Hackathon 2026
Join engineers worldwide to innovate a sustainable future for all at the WFEO Hackathon 2026—a global competition designed to turn bold ideas into real impact. Open to engineering students enrolled anywhere in the world, the hackathon invites individuals and teams to tackle challenges aligned with UN SDG 9 and demonstrate how engineering can accelerate sustainable development. Participants will register, explore official challenges, form teams locally or globally, ideate and build solutions, then pitch in video format to an international judging panel for the chance to gain recognition, prizes, and global exposure.
Innovation Hackathon 2025
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Innovation Hackathon 2025, a prestigious 3-day national event. Hosted by Zayed University and organized by McFill Media & Publishing Group (The Technology Express), the hackathon will bring together over 300 students from across the UAE. Over the course of 30+ hours, participants will collaborate in teams, tackle industry-sponsored challenges, and present their solutions directly to experts and decision-makers.
IEEE Xtreme
IEEEXtreme is a global 24-hour competitive programming challenge organized annually by IEEE, where student members from universities worldwide form teams of up to three and solve a series of algorithmic and coding problems online. The contest tests participants’ skills in problem-solving, algorithms, and teamwork under time pressure, offering international recognition, networking opportunities, and valuable experience in real-world coding challenges.

16th Student Research Conference on Applied Computing (SRC 2025) Organized by Zayed University’s College of Technological Innovation, SRC 2025 will be held on September 24–25, 2025, in Dubai under the theme “AI Innovations for a Better Tomorrow.” The conference invites undergraduate and graduate students to present research in AI and emerging technologies through papers, posters, and demos, with selected works published in IEEE proceedings and Scopus-indexed journals.
